Course Description:
Plan, implement, and communicate your path to a low-carbon future.
This hands-on course is designed for property managers, sustainability professionals, and energy leaders who are ready to lead electrification efforts across their building portfolios. Whether you're just getting started or looking to optimize existing plans, you'll walk away with practical tools to assess opportunities, develop targeted strategies, and build support across your organization.
We’ll start with the fundamentals—what building electrification is, why it matters, and how it supports emissions goals, energy efficiency, and operational performance. Then, we’ll dig into real-world applications through guided activities and case studies, covering how to:
- Prepare buildings for electrification by addressing capacity constraints and efficiency upgrades
- Evaluate electrical loads and capacity, interpret load profiles, and plan for grid-aligned solutions
- Manage installations and ensure quality across projects
- Build and present compelling business cases that secure stakeholder buy-in
You’ll leave this session ready to: - Analyze building portfolios to identify opportunities for electrification, considering emissions reduction, operational efficiency, and organizational sustainability goals.
- Design customized electrification strategies that address technical challenges, optimize budgets, and align with grid-aligned energy solutions.
- Develop and present business cases for electrification initiatives, effectively communicating impacts and benefits to stakeholders, tenants, and teams.
*You’ll earn 0.8 CEUs for this course by attending the full session and passing the final quiz with a score of 70% or higher.
