Course Description:

Why don’t people adopt energy-saving practices if they’re so beneficial? We’ll start by unpacking this simple question and move into a hands-on program design process, focusing on what actually motivates decision-making. This training will explore the difference between programs geared for quick gains in energy efficiency and those designed for long-term market change. Believe it or not, it is not always about money, and incentives are not always the answer! Leave this half-day training with strategies to connect with real-world behaviors. Even if none of this is interesting to you, there will be treats and toys distributed throughout the day. See you in class!

By completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Analyze various approaches to program design for different target markets and assess their effectiveness.
  • Develop comprehensive strategies to address specific barriers to program participation, based on the behavioral tendencies of each target group.
  • Formulate incentive levels tailored to different market contexts, considering both short-term engagement and long-term behavioral change.

*Attendees must earn an 70% or higher on the final course test in order to earn 0.4 CEUs.

Cancellations received no later than 14 days prior to the training date will receive a refund, minus a 5% processing fee if paid with a credit card. Cancellations received after the cutoff date and no-shows will not receive a refund (cash or points).
