Course Description: This two-hour course is designed for small businesses that are considering working with utilities. You’ll explore what it takes to sell to and collaborate with utility companies, gaining practical insights into both the opportunities and challenges of this unique market. With expert guidance and real-world strategies, you’ll learn how to assess whether your business is a good fit, understand the landscape, and make informed decisions about pursuing utility partnerships.
Learning Objectives:
- Explain how utility companies operate, including their regulatory environment, decision-making processes, and key stakeholders.
- Evaluate your business’s strengths and capabilities to determine alignment with utility market opportunities.
- Develop tailored sales and marketing strategies that address utility needs, incorporating clear communication techniques and value propositions.
- Apply knowledge of utility procurement processes to respond effectively to requests for proposals (RFPs) and build lasting relationships.
