Our Women in Energy team collaborated with @Megan Bennett of Summerhill this past February as she organized and moderated this amazing panel discussion around the topic of Climate Emotions. Please read on to get Megan's thoughts on the 2023 Annual Conference live session: 

Message from @Megan Bennett 

"At the AESP Annual Conference in New Orleans earlier in 2023, I moderated and recorded a panel discussion for Plugged In Podcast, sharing the stage with three incredible women: Pamela Fann, CDP, CDT, Principle Owner of Impact Energy, Jhane Wilcox, MBA, Director of Marketing at PosiGen, and Larissa Crawford (She/Elle), Founder and Managing Director of Future Ancestors Services Inc.

The questions we explored about climate emotions took us deep into the work of climate justice and the impacts of systemic racism and colonization. The panelists shared how they care for their powerful emotions within these challenging contexts, how these emotions fuel their work and can impact their workplaces.

Ideas were shared on how we can do things differently to care for ourselves, our colleagues and communities, so that we can continue to have the resources and vitality necessary to do the work required of these times and ultimately succeed at a clean and just energy transition for all.
